Toronto Show Rescheduled!

Posted Jan 23, 14:24 by Ronnie Morris

Our next Toronto show is getting shifted about a little, so we will no longer be playing at Lee’s Palace on February 10th. Pass it on.

We’re still working out the details for a rescheduled date, not long after, but we’ll let you know as soon as we know!

I was planning on going to that, and then I didn’t see it in the now magazine.
Geez.

G and Laurs – Good question. If you have the chance, maybe the staff at Lee’s Palace can give you the information you need. Sorry I can’t provide an answer yet!

Pauly – It would be sicker than sick, sure, but we’ll be basking in the gorgeous Victorian sunshine. Now that I’ve put that in writing, it will certainly rain while we’re on the west coast.

Bitchykitty – Have you seen the photos inside that issue?

I would never go to Quebec City. They voted the conservatives in there.
Bastards.

SO peeps:

I talked to the EMerge people, they said you should take your tx to the cancelled gig and exchnge them, where you bought them, for new tx. THey should even give you a wee refud since the new show costs less.

Take care guys.

Ben – You’ll be thrilled to hear that we’re playing Nanaimo, Edmonton AND Calgary, three more cities where Conservative candidates were elected. (We’re also playing Winnipeg, where one out of the four seats held by the city went to the Tories.)

By and large, the people who come to see us in these cities aren’t the people who voted right-wing, but rather the people who fight back. The most vital, passionate movements rise out of oppressive situations (a touchstone for this generation being late-Seventies UK punk). It’s for these ralliers and upstarts that we play and continue to play. They’re an inspired/inspiring lot and don’t deserve to be overlooked because of the way the majority surrounding them decided to vote. (Same goes for our friends in the United States.)

G – Thanks for passing along the information!

I can’t seem to find out when the next date is for controller.controller. Someone post it. I’ve been trying to check out dates for various other indie bands, like full.white.drag with no success. What sites can I go to in order to find out more info on live dates?

Mirko – you should check CBC’s New Music Canada site, specifically their On Tour section (http://www.newmusiccanada.ca/search/searchresults_tourdates.cfm). In addition to tour listings by date, you can find most Canadian bands on NewMusicCanada.ca, as well as links to these bands’ respective web sites. We’re on New Music Canada. Full White Drag are on there, too. Good luck!

(As for our next date, it will be in the UK. If you’re looking for a Canadian date, we don’t have any confirmed just yet, but as soon as we do the dates will be posted on our site.)
