September Tour Dates!
Posted Aug 5, 22:37 by Scott KaijaI just posted new September dates! We're playing 10 shows with our buddies, You Say Party! We Say Die! We've also invited our friends in TrackDirtyaz and The D'Urbervilles to play on these. We won't be touring these parts again for a while, so don't miss out.
Hey Nirmala
When I talked to you in January at the end of the Pavilion show, you said you were coming back to Halifax in September. A quick look at the tour dates does not reveal this. What gives? You’re not even preforming at the Pop Explosion. Can we expect more love for the East Coast from Paper Bag soon?

Hey Matt (and all East Coasters…and West Coasters) – it’s true. We’re staying somewhat local this fall. Ronnie’s in school this semester and Jeff’s got a full-time job (which is probably something I should look into as well). These commitments are just as important to us as playing shows and seeing friends in the east and west, so we’re trying to balance it all as best we can.
This means, for the time being, we’ll be playing close to home and scheduling as many “away” shows as manageable for the weekends. On the plus side, we may finally have a chance to work on a new record.
We’re looking forward to returning to the east and west coasts as soon as possible, and we’ll let you know when we’ve got some shows booked out there. Thanks for asking!

Hello. I saw you guys in Ottawa Thursday night, and the show totally rocked. I’ve never heard of you guys before but you are now in my cd collection. Your sound (mostly the guitars) reminded me a bit of my favourite band, The Mars Volta. You guys have a very unique sound, and I just have to say it…..Ronnie is so dreamy! I think I’m in love! Hope to see you again!

Hey guys,
Saw you at Algonquin Thursday night (i was in the very front row, in a light blue shirt). You guys kicked everyone’s ass! And I met Nirmala in front of the school gym. She took my picture, and let me take hers. She was as nice and great as you could ever hope for the frontwoman of an amzing band to be. Thanks Nirmala, and I’ll be in the front row at Zaphod’s in two weeks like i promised!

Whoa now…I dunno how Ronnie can do grad school and a band at the same time. Dude must be a machine.
I was taking classes in the summer on top of work and a band I’m in. Picture leaving work, heading to venue to the soundcheck, and studying while waiting to soundcheck. Yeah…that was me.
I distinctly remember yer boy Meyer, the promoter, saying something along the lines of “dude, that’s not punk”. Hehehe

Kassandra and Chris – thank you so much! I've just posted photos from that show (as well as the ones from the Ovation Festival in Stratford). Enjoy!
Kassandra, I’m certain Ronnie thanks you as well. I love when people who never heard of us before like what they hear…and see, apparently.)
Chris – see you in a couple of days!
As fer you, O – I can’t picture you studying. Ever.
Julien – see you then!

The ovation show was awesome, I was glad to see you guys again. I was the guy in the front row in the centre (wearing an orange hoodie). I yelled up hey to Nirmala and Jeff when you were setting up the instruments. Great show, and another cool mask jeff!
