Help us out! We need your vote!
Posted Dec 26, 18:00 by Ronnie MorrisHelp us out by taking Chart Magazine’s 2005 Reader’s Poll and voting for our record X-Amounts in the Best Canadian Album category. At the moment, we’re in the lead, but we need your help to stay there! You also have a chance to win a cd prize pack from Chart for voting, but you have to hurry – the poll closes on January 6th!
Go to http://www.chartattack.com/poll to cast your votes. Don’t forget to vote for Nirmala in the Sexiest Canadian Woman category, and to vote for Death From Above 1979’s Black History Month in the Best Video category (our drummer Jeff directed it!).
Personally, I’m not disappointed that we’re not going to win the invisible Golden Toque/Best Canadian Album award; I’m just disappointed that some people voted for us illegitimately. It’s embarrassing to be associated with anything fraudulent, especially because we approach things as honestly as possible (despite what some might say). We never asked or encouraged people to vote for us in that way, and hope that none of the voters will cheat when we’re next up for an award.
Thanks again for voting properly!

P.S. Craig – Hope your holiday was great, too. All I know about hooking up with OK Go was the following exchange:
“Do you guys want to tour with OK Go for a couple of weeks in the new year?”
“Sure.”
With the Organ, DFA79, and Magneta Lane outings, we hit the road with people we knew, with friends’ bands. This upcoming tour is different, more like those one-off shows we play in American cities with bands we’ve never met before, but I’m looking forward to it.

We’re always interested in good (cheap) places to eat, so let’s keep in touch. At the very least, I expect to see you dancing like you do at Stage Nine on the 31st!

Um ya the hot girl who used to model in the UK came home and got onto her b-friend’s bike but insisted on driving so it was during her drive, in which she played chicken with a car while passing another car…very pushing the edge for Canadian TV. So, we can’t wait for you to come back to Kingston (and no fist fighting this time boys, we like our encores).

Hopefully you will be able to find a new venue and date to play here soon.
Looking forward to it!
